The existing programming in PLC1 of the tertiary system was modified, and a PLC2 was incorporated to manage the new equipment. Both controllers were integrated into a unified SCADA system, allowing for the centralised supervision and operation of approximately 500 process signals.
In addition, modifications were made to the control logic of the sand filters and centrifugal decanters, followed by commissioning at the plant to ensure the correct operation of the entire system.
New analogue and digital equipment was integrated into the Siemens S7-1500 control system at EBAR Río Oro, with its corresponding incorporation into the Wonderware SCADA system.
Finally, new control signals were implemented and configured in Wonderware ArchestrA Galaxy, considered a software-based DCS, in order to guarantee the complete integration and traceability of the system information.
